Alan MacKenzie is a maker of fine leather handbags, Gladstone bags, medical bags and briefcases, with a workshop on the Isle of Arran.

Our workshop was established in the Isle of Arran off the west coast of Scotland in 1978 primarily making bespoke riding saddles and a range of traditional briefcases, luggage and travel bags.

Over the ensuing years, due to the high demand, the bag and case making side of the business took precedence and by the early 1990s the saddle making  side was discontinued.

Today we continue the tradition and offer the same timeless styles that we designed  and made 40 years ago, each bag individually made by hand and sold exclusively from our island workshop or through our website.
